Choose your software plan from our Pricing page and click through to complete your order using a debit or credit card. You can also pay for a subscription via an invoice (e.g., after accepting a formal quote). After payment has been made, you will receive an email confirmation of your subscription and an invitation to our customer portal. A software licence key will be delivered to your inbox along with a link to download the installer*. You will need to enter your licence key to activate your licence and hence to enjoy full functionality of the PRIMER 8 software with all purchased entitlements.
* If you pay for your subscription via direct bank transfer, we will confirm receipt of your payment and initiate your subscription. You will receive an invitation to the customer portal and your software licence key within 2 business days (NZ time).
PRIMER software is provided as an electronic software download. There is one installer for all PRIMER 8 subscription plans. Upon purchase of your PRIMER 8 subscription, you will receive a licence key via email that will enable the full functionality of your software with all paid entitlements for the term of your paid subscription.
See our Standard Course Terms and Conditions as well as ‘Specific Course Terms and Conditions’ that are unique to each course and can be found on the individual course page. To register for a course, you will need to complete a registration form, and you will receive an invoice for payment. Payment must be received by us prior to the due date on the invoice. Your place on the course is not guaranteed until payment is received.
If you require a formal quote for software, you can request this from us via the ‘Request a Quote’ form HERE. If you require a formal quote for consulting or for course registration, contact us directly via email primer@primer-e.com. If you accept the quote, you will receive an invoice for payment. A subscription will be created upon acceptance of the quote, but it will be ‘paused’, and no licence key will be sent until payment of the invoice has been received by us. Upon payment, the suscription will become ‘active’, and your licence key will be sent to you directly.
We accept payments by credit/debit card through our secure online web portal. You may also pay any invoices issued from us to you via credit/debit card or direct bank transfer. Our full bank account details are provided on the invoice. We do not accept bank cheques. Note that if you pay for your subscription by credit/debit card through an invoice, rather than through our web-based payment portal, your credit card details will not be held by our system nor associated with your subscription, and there will be no auto-renewal process triggered on that card.

When it is time to renew your subscription, you will receive a reminder and an invoice by email 35 days prior to the end of your subscription period. If you have associated a credit/debit card with your subscription and you have not cancelled your subscription prior to the end of its term, payment for the renewal will be made automatically on that card.
If you used a card to pay for your subscription through an invoice (rather than through our web payment portal), then your card will not be held in our system and your renewal invoice will need to be paid by you (using a method of your choice) prior to the end of your current subscription term.
Payment for renewal must be received by us no later than one (1) day before the renewal date to avoid cancellation of your subscription.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal or by contacting us directly via email primer@primer-e.com. Note that you will still have access to the software for the full term of the subscription for which you have paid.
