Registration Details

This is an opportunity to experience the full spread and detail of methods in PRIMER version 7 and the PERMANOVA+ add-on, given by experts in these methods, over the course of two weeks. Participants may register for week 1 only, week 2 only, or both weeks. Each week mixes lectures and computer lab sessions on literature data sets, and ends with a day in which participants can discuss and analyse their own data sets in consultation with the lecturer.

For more information please download and read the workshop documents listed in the blue box above. To register, please send your completed registration form to the PRIMER-e office at: [email protected]. Please send a separate individual registration form for each participant and contact the PRIMER-e office directly if you wish to receive a single invoice for multiple registrations. For information regarding on-site logistics contact one of the local organisers: Antonio Terlizzi ([email protected]), Stanislao Bevilacqua ([email protected]) or Giovanni Bacaro ([email protected]).

Week 1

Workshop on PRIMER version 7

Dr Paul J. Somerfield

9 – 13 September 2019

Week 1 is a 5-day PRIMER version 7 workshop which covers the full range of routines offered in PRIMER, so this week is suitable for those who are new to its non-parametric, permutation-based multivariate approaches, and developments in functional and structural biodiversity indices.

Week 2

Workshop on PERMANOVA+

Distinguished Professor Marti J. Anderson

16 – 20 September 2019

Week 2 is a 5-day PERMANOVA+ workshop which covers the full range of semi-parametric permutation-based statistical tests for crossed and nested designs with several fixed/random interacting factors, including unbalanced designs or those with covariates; unconstrained and constrained ordination (including analogues of discriminant analysis); and distance-based linear models for modeling the links between multivariate responses and explanatory variables.
