How to Register

This is an opportunity to experience the full spread and detail of methods in PRIMER version 7 and the PERMANOVA+ add-on, presented by experts in these methods, over the course of two weeks. Participants may register for week 1 only, week 2 only, or both weeks. Each week mixes lectures and computer lab sessions on literature data sets, and ends with a day in which participants can discuss and analyse their own data sets in consultation with the lecturer.

For more information please download and read the workshop documents listed in the blue box above. To register, please send your completed registration form to the PRIMER-e office at: [email protected]. Please send a separate individual registration form for each participant and contact the PRIMER-e office directly if you wish to receive a single invoice for multiple registrations. For information regarding on-site logistics contact the local organiser: Dr. Christine Whitcraft ([email protected]).

Week 1

Workshop on PRIMER version 7

Dr Paul Somerfield

7 – 11 January 2019

Week 1 is a 5-day PRIMER version 7 workshop which covers the full range of routines offered in PRIMER, including ordination, clustering and non-parametric hypothesis-testing methods. This week caters to those who are new to PRIMER and also to old hands who are keen to refine their understanding of the latest tools in version 7. All are welcome; no prior knowledge of statistics is required.

Week 2

Workshop on PERMANOVA+

Dr Adam N. H. Smith

14 – 18 January 2019

Week 2 is a 5-day PERMANOVA+ workshop which covers the full range of semi-parametric permutation-based methods available in this add-on package, including analysis of multivariate responses to complex experimental designs, analysis of beta-diversity and model selection. All are welcome, but some prior knowledge of basic multivariate methods and experimental design (as may be achieved in week 1) is desirable for week 2.
